Micro-School Teacher

The responsibility of the campus instructor is to prepare lesson plans, activities, and learning materials for weekly classes, create a comfortable classroom environment for the children, and actively partners and supports parents in the discipleship of their children.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares lesson plans based on the KOGA Scope and Sequence.  

  • Organize engaging classroom discussions based on the scheduled Scope ad Sequence.

  • Organize, adapt, and supply subject projects based on the Scope and Sequence.

  • Encourages kids to study and participate in every activity.

  • Monitors and guides struggling students.

  • Graciously and humbly interacts with families.

  • Collaborates with families in discipling students.

  • Collaborates with families to help with the academic performance of the student.

  • Cultivates a strong partnership with the students, parents, and co-teachers.

  • Creatively problem-solves to maintain the engagement of the children.

  • Works with the Campus Coordinator and Central Staff in routine syncs and training days.

  • Organizes and leads volunteers in the classroom.

  • Has excellent teaching and presentation skills.

  • Has the ability to speak and interact with children appropriately.

  • Has the discernment to adapt different activities to the appropriate age level.

  • Must be self-aware of their tone and communication techniques.

  • Has strong interpersonal and discernment skills.

  • Practices humility.

  • Can develop lesson plans from the curriculum.

  • Excellent ability in using different Microsoft software applications.

  • Is a self-motivator and can work well under pressure with high-level critical-thinking and the ability to problem-solve.

  • Must have great leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Is in full agreement with and lives out the Doctrinal and Ethical Statements of KOGA

  • Believes in and is excited with KOGA’s mission, direction, and goals.

  • Can manage his/her own time efficiently.

  • Can lift 10-20lbs or more overhead.

  • Is willing to take a background check.

  • A college degree and credentials are preferred, but skills and experience are also observed.

Employment Benefits
