Jasmine McCleskey
Course Description
Students will be given technique instruction in their chosen paint medium. Students will then practice applying their knowledge during class painting sessions. The instructor will offer advice, demos, feedback and answers questions as they actively practice their skills. This class will be hands on, and students will get a feel for working on standard canvas size (16x20), rather than miniatures. Students will work with either Oils & Acrylic or Watercolor & Gouache, and will experience painting portraits, landscapes, still life, and conceptual subject matter. Additionally, they will be assigned small art history presentations and painting studies so that they’re actively learning from the masters.
